Social Events

Alpha Chi Omega places a large emphasis on getting to know our sisters and having many exciting events to further our college experience. In addition to Mystagouge pairings and Big/Little Sister activities, the chapter has unique sisterhood events throughout the year. The chapter's annual new member retreat and all chapter sisterhood retreat help to strengthen these bonds and create lasting memories that members will cherish long after graduation.
          In addition to our sisterhood events, the chapter has a full social calendar with formals and date functions. These events allow us to dress up in glamorous dresses or silly costumes while spending time with our handsome dates. Additionally, the chapter hosts socials and events with fraternities to help bind the Greek community.  The chapter enjoys the time spent with our sisters and with other members of the FSU community, and such events actively strengthen the bonds of our sisterhood.

Annual Events

Scarlet Ball Formal and Red Carnation Ball Semi Formal
Commonly known as Fall Formal, the Scarlet Ball Formal is the celebration of our past year and our outgoing seniors. An affair to remember, past formals have been held at such lovely locations as: Local Plantations, a Riverboat Cruise and a Beach-side Resort.  All the ladies enjoy this elegant invite because it serves as the perfect ending to a wonderful year with our sisters.

Tacky Chrismukkah

     It's okay, everyone's doing it: take out your most embarrassing holiday sweaters, hats, scarfs then add some blinking lights and jingle bells- now you have your perfect Tacky Chrismukkah outfit!  Always one of Alpha Chi Omega's most fun date functions, the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega and their lucky dates look forward to this hilarious event each year.  

Yippe, A-Chi-O Hayride

      The ladies of Alpha Chi Omega and our cowboys enjoy hayrides in the country backwoods of our breathtaking neighboring areas. Curling up to a large bonfire while enjoying a live band and s'mores, Yippe, A-Chi-O is always a  good time!  

Fraternity Socials and Date Functions

    Devils and Divas, Around the World, Nerds Gone Wild :  These are just a few of our favorite social themes.  Dressed up in cute & silly costumes, the Alpha Chi women join together with a fraternity for a themed party for one reason: to have some fun!

FSU Football

       It's the garnet and gold pride we all share that makes us stand up and cheer every Saturday during the Fall.  Football season one of the highlights of Florida State University. Alpha Chi Omega's with their fraternity pairing (for stadium block seating), never miss a home game thus supporting Bobby Bowden and our amazing Seminoles. 

Sisterhood Retreat

Besides our everyday laughs, outings, and random road trips, we save one weekend per semester to renew our bonds as a sisterhood.  Whether a trip to the beach or white-water rafting in Tennessee, we value our sisterhood above all things and cherish the special bond we share as Alpha Chis.  
   

New Member Retreat

     At the beginning of each new member period, the Education Committee hosts a retreat specifically for the New Members of Alpha Chi Omega.  During this exhilarating retreat, our New Members have the pleasure of spending a weekend together away from Tallahassee with their New Member sisters.  With ice-breakers, team building exercises, and heart warming surprises, the New Member Retreat is the true start of the bond we share as Alpha Chi Omegas.
