Scholarship

Academic interest is one of the five criteria of Alpha Chi Omega nationally and is a top priority in our chapter, where we are proud say we are continually are ranked in the top houses on campus for scholarship! House study hours and tutoring are available to all members, as well as other programs that help us to be successful academically. Each semester we hold Apple Pie with an Alpha Chi dessert and each member is encouraged to invite a professor to the house for an evening.  We also hold a Deans list Desert each semester to acknowledge and recognize all sisters who made the deans list the previous semester.

Our chapter also has an enforced academic accountability program  which becomes mandatory if a member’s grade point average drops below our requirement at any time.  Students who take advantage of the academic support available and properly balance their time between academic and extra-curricular pursuits will find that Greek membership can enhance their academic performance. Several national studies have consistently found that retention rates are significantly higher for fraternity and sorority members than for unaffiliated students.
