When I went through recruitment, I searched for the defining feature that would help me find where I belonged. I found that indefinable quality in Alpha Chi, and from my first moments as an Alpha Chi. I have continued to see and love the essence of sisterhood all around me.  I see it in the eyes of my newest sisters on Bid Day, I see it in the encouraging words my sisters give each other while studying for an impossible test. I see it when we laugh together, about everything and nothing all at once. I see it when one sister finds in another the strength and support she needs at her hardest moment. And I see it reflected back onto her when her sisters are there for her unquestionably and unconditionally. I see the same thing in the eyes of sisters from all over the country, and alumnae who never forget that Alpha Chi Omega’s bonds are stronger than those of the closest friendship. The bond of sisterhood that is ever present is what led me home to Alpha Chi Omega.
