Go Greek
Why go Greek?
By becoming a member of the Greek community you will be opening a door to wonderful opportunities. Greek organizations offer students not only lifelong friendships, but a chance to develop their leadership potential and participate in community service. There is also encouragement in academic excellence, social and recreational involvement and the opportunity to network (both as a student and as alumni).
However, the best part is the amazing college memories
you will make. Being Greek allows students to create a home away
from home where the fun never stops!
Recruitment is a very exciting time for our chapter, and we are
looking forward to meeting you during Recruitment 2008! It is a week long mutual selection process consisting of four rounds, where potential new members have the opportunity to meet with sisters from each sorority. Alpha Chi Omega offers potential new members bids based on the five standards of Alpha Chi Omega: academic interest, character, financial responsibility, leadership and personal development.
First Round is Scholarship -This round is fast paced and exciting! The parties are short and their purpose is to introduce you to all of the various sororities on campus. Relax and be yourself, this is the longest round, hang in there!
Second Round is Service - The second round includes house tours! You will take a tour of each sorority's house .You will also learn about each chapters altruism's and have the opportunity to participate in a craft / activity that will be donated after recruitment.; and you have the opportunity to speak with a few members in greater depth.
Third Round is Leadership - During round three, each sorority will entertain you with their skit, which is designed to show you the personality of the sorority. It gives you the opportunity to see the fun and laid-back side of the sorority. This is the time to think about your difficult decision to come...
Preferential Round, also called Sisterhood is the last round is much more serious and often times emotional. Listen to the women explain what it means to be an Alpha Chi Omega and make the decision that is best for you!
